Robert J. Martin

Robert J. “Bob” Martin, age 62, of Fairview Heights, IL, born on April 9,1961 in Salem, MO, died on Friday, July 21, 2023 at his residence.

Bobby worked in maintenance for over 30 years at several hotels in the St. Louis area. He loved watching  Cardinals baseball games, air shows, and monster truck shows with his #1 nephew, Kane. He enjoyed drinking his Bud Light at friends and family parties, barbeques, and bonfires. He was devoted to his many dogs over the years; they were his closest buddies.

Bob was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia  Mae, nee Asher, Martin; his brother, Donny Martin; and many four-legged companions, including his beloved Angel. He is survived by his father, Robert Lee Martin of Collinsville, IL; his siblings, Terry (Michelle) Martin of Windsor, IL, Mary Martin of Phoenix, AZ, Danny (Crystal) Martin of Gloucester, VA, and Jim (Melissa) Martin of Granite City, IL; his special nephew, Kane Martin; many other nieces and nephews; and his best four-legged buddy, Copper.

Memorials can be made to Belleville Area Humane Society.

Memorial visitation will be held Friday, July 28, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, IL.

Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 28, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, IL, with Pastor Ron Habermehl officiating.
