Robert W. Haug, age 85, of Caseyville, IL, born on July 17, 1935 in St. Louis, MO, died on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at his residence.
Robert was a 1953 graduate of St. Mary’s High School, St. Louis, MO, and a self-employed contractor. He worked on the President Casino on the SS Admiral as a Blackjack Dealer from 1994 to 1998. Robert was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church, Caseyville, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Dorothy, nee McDonald Haug; his siblings, Alice Haug-Martin, Dolores Haug-Blow, and Raymond Haug; his brothers-in-law, Billy Charles Hawk, and Kenneth Lee Hawk.
Robert is survived by his wife, Maxine Haug, nee Hawk, who he married on June 11, 1966 in St. Louis, MO; his brother, Harry V. Haug; his sisters-in-law, Peggy Haug, Maxine Thrasher-Hawk, and Tomiko Sakamoto-Hawk; his niece, Christine Lee Hawk-Hassan; and his nephews, Kevin Lee Hawk, and Michael Hawk. Robert is also survived by his great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.
Memorials may be made to St. Stephen Catholic Church, or to Vitas Hospice.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Stephen Catholic Church, Caseyville, IL.
Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Stephen Catholic Church, Caseyville, IL with Fr. Joseph Iffert officiating.
