Richard F. Dillon

Richard F. ‘Rick” Dillon, age 70, of O’Fallon, IL, formerly of Belleville, IL, born on August 16, 1954, in East St. Louis, IL, died on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Cambridge House, O’Fallon, IL.

Rick was a sales associate in home improvement for Central Hardware Home Quarters and for Home Depot for 44 years. He was a member of St. Peter’s Cathedral in Belleville, IL, and the Knights of Columbus Council #4239 in O’Fallon, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Patrick and Rose, nee Pagel Dillon, Jr.

Rick is survived by his siblings, Rosalie Aschbacher of Highland, IL, Patrick (Jacqueline) Dillon III of O’Fallon, MO, and Dorothy Bowers of Belleville, IL, 8 nieces and nephews, Terry Aschbacher, Sue Beckemeyer, Shari Martz, Ryan Dillon, Kevin Dillon, Scott Dillon, Brian Bowers and Brett Bowers.  He also is survived by loving great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.

Memorials may be made to Belleville Area Humane Society or to Benld Adopt-A-Pet.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24, 2025, from 10:00 a.m.. to 12:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 24, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL, with Msgr. John Myler officiating.  Interment will be in Green Mount Catholic Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
