Randy J. Markezich

Randy J. Markezich, age 63, of Collinsville, IL., born on September 11, 1962, in East St. Louis, IL, passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2025.

Randy worked for 35 years with Kop-Coat, Inc. in St. Louis, MO.  He was a loving husband, father and always provided for his family.  Randy was always the one you could count on for anything.  He took great pride in maintaining his yard and pool.  He enjoyed entertaining family and friends at his home, where he loved hosting gatherings and making others feel welcome.  He always enjoyed a cold Budweiser with his friends. He loved watching the Ohio State football games and also while watching St. Louis sports teams, especially the Blues.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tony and Blondie, nee Felty Markezich; his brother, Butchie Markezich; and his nephews, Justin Markezich and Taylor Markezich.

Randy is survived by his loving wife, Rita, nee Suarez Markezich; his daughter, Kelsey Markezich; his four-legged buddy, Yogi; his brothers, Ron (Bev) Markezich of Seattle, WA and George (Anne) Markezich of Collinsville, IL; his mother-in-law, Shirley Suarez of Fairmont City, IL; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Mike Suarez of Fairmont City, IL, Tom (Dawn) Suarez of Collinsville, IL, Rob (Kathy) Suarez of East Carondelet, IL, Therese Suarez of Fairmont City, IL, and Rick Suarez of Fairmont City, IL; his nieces and nephews, Amy Markezich, Dustin Grice, Ronnie Markezich, Luke Schwartz, Matt Suarez, Adam Suarez, Joey Suarez and many loving cousins and friends that were like family.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Fairmont City, IL.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Fairmont City, IL, with Fr. Harold Fisher, O.M.I. officiating.
