Phyllis Jean Beare

Phyllis Jean Beare, age 76, of Caseyville, IL, born September 15, 1946, in East St. Louis, IL, died on Monday, September 19, 2022, at her residence with her family by her side.

Phyllis volunteered at the Children’s Library in Fairmont City for 9 years, and was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Fairview Heights, IL. She loved her cats.

She was preceded in death by her son, Max Denis Beare, III; and her parents, Albert and Kathryn, nee Vandewater, Phillips.

Phyllis is survived by her husband, Max D. Beare, Jr; her daughter, Laura (Dean) Kloth of Red Bud, IL; her grandchildren, Suzanne (Steven) Pohlman of Godfrey, IL and Max Levi Beare of Ellis Grove, IL; a great grandchild, Karsyn Lee Beare of Red Bud, IL; and a brother, Michael Earl (Sandra) Phillips of Collinsville, IL. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, friends, and neighbors.

Memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children or to Hospice of Southern Illinois.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Fairview Heights, IL.  

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Fairview Heights, IL with Father Jim Nall officiating.  Per Phyllis’s wishes she will be cremated following the services.
