Pauline P. "Dolly" White

Pauline P. "Dolly" White, age 94, of Fairview Heights, IL, entered God’s presence on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at St. Paul’s Senior Community with her children by her side. She was 94 years old.

Pauline was the only daughter of Paul and Katie Prelitz, who lived on Goose Hill in East St. Louis. Her brother, Paul, and sister-in-law, Ann, stood up for her and Donald White when they eloped in 1956. They remained married for 53 years, until Don’s death in 2009.

She was the loving mother of five children: Donna (Tom) Galvin, Paula (Doug, in the presence of God) Bridges, Mark (Cindy), Scott (Amy) and Don Junior. She was also the proud grandmother of Megan (Bobby) Willhoit, Colin (Evie) Galvin, Michael (Patti) Bridges, Patrick Bridges, Chris (Paula) Bridges, Alec (Kellie) White, Blake White, Rachel White and Bella White. And thanks to her long life, she was able to welcome three great-grandchildren: Ainsley Willhoit, Caleb Willhoit and Jackson White.

Pauline was especially loved by many close aunts and uncles during her lifetime, and most enjoyed being at ‘the clubhouse’ in KenDale Acres with friends, family and a bucket of gin and squirt to keep the party going. She was an excellent bowler, bingo and card player – and took pride in maintaining a meticulous yard and never needing a dishwasher or clothes dryer. She was also a devoted parishioner at St. Stephens Church where her children attended school.

Memorials may be made to St. Paul’s Senior Community or the American Cancer Society.

The family welcomes friends to remember Pauline on Friday, February 27, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Kassly Mortuary in Fairview Heights, Illinois.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, February 27, 2026, at 11am. Burial will be private at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
