Patricia J. Burke

Patricia J. “Pat” Burke, nee Morton, age 93, of Belleville, IL, born on July 20, 1931, in East St. Louis, IL, died on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at St. Paul’s Senior Community, Belleville, IL.

Pat worked as a paralegal for the U.S. Attorney’s Office, East St. Louis, IL, retiring in 1988. She loved reading, gardening, cross stitching, cooking, baking, and family get togethers.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard F. Burke; her parents, Maurice and Nellie, nee Dwyer, Morton; and eight brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her sons, Michael J. (Lori) Burke of Belleville, IL, and Joseph P. (Donna) Burke of Vail, AZ; her grandsons, Brendan (Rachael) Burke, Brian (Miranda) Burke, and Bernard (Doron) Burke; a step grandson, Marco DiPasquale; her nieces, Sharon Zajac and Debbie Z. (Frank) Homburger; and many loving cousins.

Pat’s family wishes to thank the staff at St. Paul’s Senior Community and BJC Hospice for their loving and professional care.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., with Fr. James Buerster officiating.  Interment will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
