Nancy L. Gilbreath

Nancy L. Gilbreath, nee, Hogue, age 82, of Belleville, IL, born on September 16, 1939, in East St. Louis, IL, died on Sunday, November 21, 2021, at her residence.

Nancy worked as a legal secretary and operated a home daycare. 

She was preceded in death by husband, Leroy T. Gilbreath who died on January 29, 2009; her parents, Floyd and Ann, nee Moskaitis, Hogue; and her sister, Helen Vollmer.

Nancy is survived by her daughters, Lori (Michael) Burke of Belleville, IL, and Julie (John) Whitney of Millstadt, IL; her grandchildren, Brendan Burke, Brian (Miranda) Burke, Madelyn Whitney and Caroline Whitney; her sister, Margaret (Paul) Barnhart; her cat, Smokey; and her birds, Kerry, Marty and Sammy.  She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Belleville Area Humane Society.

Private services will be held.
