Nancy Sue Combs

Nancy Sue Combs, nee Simpson, age 78, of Belleville, IL, born on February 27, 1945, in East St. Louis, IL, died on Friday, June 9, 2023, at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL.

Nancy loved to shop, play bingo, and bowl. She traveled the world when her husband served in the United States Navy, from Scotland to Japan. Nancy and her late husband Frank were married for 62 years.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank C. Combs; a son, Mark Combs; her parents; and her brothers and sisters, Sonny Simpson, Harold Meyers, Colleen Tuggle, Dorothy Cook and Jimmy Simpson.

Nancy is survived by her children, Frank C. (Diane) Combs of Carlyle, IL and Darrell D. Combs, Sr of Belleville, IL; her grandchildren, Michael Combs, Darrell D. Combs, Jr, Frank Renth, Zachary Renth, Megan Combs, Richard Combs, and Kaitlyn Combs; and numerous great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, IL.

Funeral Procession will leave on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, from Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL, at 9:30 a.m. to Jefferson Barracks for a service at 10:15 a.m.
