On Wednesday, April 12, 2023, Dr. Mohammed Elfannie Fercha, beloved husband and father passed away at home surround by loved ones at the age of 75 after a very long battle with cancer. Mohammed was born in Constantine Algeria on May 1, 1947 to Bouzid and Aicha Fercha.
Mohammed attended school in Paris, France at the University of Paris where he earned a medical degree. Mohammed’s medical career brought him to the United States where he fell in love with a nurse, his beloved wife Cheryl. The pair continued their medical careers in several rural locations around the United States.
Mohammed is survived by his wife of 47 years, Cheryl Ada Fercha, née Szekeley; his children Joseph Fercha, Samia (Ed) Fercha-Killmar, Aysha (Josh) Anderson, Nadia (Melissa) Fercha, Omar (Megan) Fercha- Sutley, and Badyr (Allison) Fercha; his grandchildren, Gunnar, Steven, Dylan, Aidan, Monroe, Landon, Avery, MontDiego, Amaricee, Lochlyn, Waverly and Schohn; and his siblings, Ohab Fercha, D’Jamel Fercha and Dalila Fercha.
Mohammed was preceded in death by his father, his mother, his brother Azzidine, and his sister Zahia.
Mohammed loved to read, travel, and his passion was soccer. Mohammed was a very intelligent man whose mind constantly absorbed the world around him, whether through books, medical journals, or Worldly news. Mohammed spoke Arabic, French, English, and was learning Spanish.
Dr. Mohammed Fercha, will be remembered by his family in an intimate ceremony at a later date.
