I am Maxine Howard’s granddaughter and met your mother many times. The last time being at my grandmothers funeral. They use to tell me wonderful stories of growing up together And living in the old jail and my grandmother was thankful to have Millie as a sister and friend. I just found out on Friday of your mother’s passing and I am so sorry I couldn’t make it to her funeral. If you would please contact me I would appreciate it. I am so very sorry for the passing of your mother. She was a wonderful lady. We met through the Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary in Belleville. Besides other activities there, she and I prepared meals once a month on a Wednesday evening for the children taking bible school. We did lunch at times. Always shared what was happening with our family. I became inactive with the auxiliary after I started taking care of my grandchildren, and my husband had health issues. We lost touch after awhile. I did visit with her at her home not long ago when she text me about what was happening with her health. I felt privileged to have known her.
