Michael D. Qualls

Michael D. Qualls, age 59, of New Douglas, IL, formerly of Fairmont City, IL, born on January 21, 1963, in East St. Louis, IL, died on Sunday, March 27, 2022, at his residence.

Michael was retired from Teamster’s Local #50, in Belleville, IL.  He loved to hunt, fish, camp and ride his Harley Davidson.  Michael was a loving son, brother, dad, grandpa and uncle and he will forever be missed in our hearts.

He was preceded in death by his grandsons, Brantley Rhinehart, and Anthony White, Jr., and his parents, Robert and Annette, nee Green Qualls.

Michael is survived by his daughters, Brooke (Eric) Frank of New Douglas, IL, and TaraLynne Rhinehart of Glasgow, KY; his grandchildren, Aubrey and Autumn Frank, Brooklyn, Brylee and Brendon Rhinehart, and Everleigh White; his siblings, Daniel L. Qualls (Darlene Kwasney) of Greenville, IL, and Tammy A. (Leonard) Hopkins, of New Douglas, IL; his nephews, Caleb Hopkins, and Zachary Hopkins; and his dear friend, Susie Rousan-Fikes. 

Visitation will be Sunday, April 3, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.

Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, April 3, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.  Cremation will follow services and burial of cremated remains will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Collinsville, IL.
