Mia Swofford Obituary

Mia Lorraine Swofford, age 17, of Fairview Heights, IL, born on June 25, 2004, in Belleville, IL, died on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL.

Mia was a 2016 graduate of Grant-Illini Elementary School and was currently a Senior at BTHS-East. She was a BTHS-East Cheerleader, and a member of Hope Club. Mia was in the Running Start Program at SWIC.

She is survived by her parents, David and Olivia, nee Swofford, Jordan; her siblings, Jaylen Reid, Brandon King, Brenah King, and Jaxson Jordan; her maternal grandparents Andrea (Michael) Schaefer and Carl (Mary) Swofford; her paternal grandparents, Rebecca Jordan and Scott (Donna) Jordan; maternal great grandfather, Harold Swofford; paternal great grandfather, Carlos Phipps; and her aunts and uncles, John and Alisha Schuhardt, and Angela and James Noce.

A Celebration of Mia’s life will be announced and held at a later date.
