Mary E. Halstead

Mary E. Halstead, nee Douglas, age 57, of Lebanon, IL, born on September 12, 1963, in East St. Louis, IL, died on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at her residence.

Mary was a Certified Nursing Assistant at Clinton Manor in Collinsville, IL, and a union painter.  She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, O’Fallon, IL. Mary enjoyed crafting, camping, fishing, gardening, sitting by the beach, St. Louis Cardinal games, Bronco football, painting, cooking, writing, traveling, and NASCAR races (favorite driver #22, Joey Logano). Mary cherished spending time with her family and making memories.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jason M. Douglas: and her parents, James and Darlene, nee Ferris, Douglas.

She is survived by her husband, Michael W. Halstead; her son, Dalton Crossen; her grandson, Conner Crossen; and her siblings, Theresa George, Dr. Daniel (Kristie) Stanton, and Maureen Wilkerson.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 16, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.  Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Fairview Heights, IL.
