MSgt. Catherine J. MacBride, USAF, Ret.

MSgt. Catherine J. MacBride, USAF, Ret., age 88, born on August 11, 1933, in Glenham, NY, died on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at Freeburg Care Center, Freeburg, IL. 

Catherine retired as a Master Sargent after 20 years of service in the United States Air Force.  She worked for General Westmoreland as an administrative assistant and earned the Bronze Star for TET Offensive.  She started working as a civilian in the supply department at Scott Air Force Base and retired after 20 years of civil service.  Catherine was an avid bird watcher and enjoyed sitting on her patio and watching the hummingbirds.  She bowled in the leagues in Collinsville, IL for many years.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Josephine, nee Flanagan MacBride. 

Catherine is survived by her best friends of over 50 years, Bonnie Huber and Joy Huber Hess. 

Memorials may be made to the Belleville Area Humane Society. 

Per Catherine's wishes, she was cremated and no services will be held.
