Luis Morin Ortiz, 47, of Fairmont City, Illinois, passed away on February 2, 2026.

Luis was born on April 1, 1978, in San Luis de la Paz, Guanajuato, Mexico. He came to the United States with the hope of building a better life for himself and his family. Through hard work and perseverance, he made Fairmont City, Illinois his longtime home, where he raised his family and became part of the community he loved.

Luis was married for 22 years to his beloved wife, Ana Luisa. He was a devoted husband and father and leaves behind his wife, Ana Luisa, and their three sons: Esteban, Luis Antonio, and Jesús, with Jesús being the youngest at 15 years old.

Luis was self-employed, earning his living through drywall installation and contractor services. He worked tirelessly to support his family and was known for his strong work ethic, dedication, and commitment to providing for his loved ones.

Luis was preceded in death by his brother Panchito, his sister Juana, and his mother, Luisa. He is survived by his father, Roberto; his brothers Chayo, Juan, and Roberto; and his sisters Esperanza, Lidia, and Mari, along with many extended family members and loved ones.

Luis was a quiet and humble man who did not seek attention, yet he was deeply loved by those who knew him. His life was centered on family, faith, and hard work, and he will be remembered for his strength, perseverance, and unconditional love as a husband, father, and brother.

Luis Morin Ortiz, de 47 años, residente de Fairmont City, Illinois, falleció el 2 de febrero de 2026.

Luis nació el 1 de abril de 1978 en San Luis de la Paz, Guanajuato, México. Llegó a los Estados Unidos con el sueño de forjar una vida mejor para él y su familia. Con esfuerzo y dedicación, hizo de Fairmont City, Illinois su hogar por muchos años, donde crió a su familia y formó parte de la comunidad que tanto quiso.

Luis estuvo casado por 22 años con su amada esposa, Ana Luisa. Fue un esposo y padre dedicado. Le sobreviven su esposa, Ana Luisa, y sus tres hijos: Esteban, Luis Antonio y Jesús, siendo Jesús el menor de 15 años.

Luis trabajó por cuenta propia en instalación de tablaroca (drywall) y servicios de contratista, siempre esforzándose por sacar adelante a su familia. Fue conocido por su responsabilidad, dedicación y fuerte ética de trabajo.

Le precedieron en la muerte su hermano Panchito, su hermana Juana, y su madre, Luisa. Le sobreviven su padre, Roberto; sus hermanos Chayo, Juan y Roberto; y sus hermanas Esperanza, Lidia y Mari, además de muchos familiares y seres queridos.

Luis fue un hombre humilde y reservado, profundamente querido por quienes lo conocieron. Su vida estuvo guiada por la familia, la fe y el trabajo. Será recordado por su fortaleza, perseverancia y amor incondicional como esposo, padre y hermano.
