Lew A. Muyleart

Lew A. Muyleart, age 70, of Maryville, IL, born on May 28, 1955, in East St. Louis, IL, died on Monday, July 28, 2025, at his residence surrounded by family.  

Lew was a plasterer for Plasterers Local #3, St. Louis, MO.   He loved his work, his wife and family, especially his grandchildren, great grandchildren, his Harley Davidson Springer Softail and his dog, Rocky.  Lew will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his children in infancy, Lew “Little Lew” Muyleart and Lou Ellen Muyleart; his parents, Henry and Anna, nee Avery Muyleart; and his siblings, Truman J. Muyleart, Henry P. “Hank” Muyleart, Jr., and Peggy K. Holmes

Lew is survived by his wife, Cindy, nee Houtz Muyleart; his children, Joseph H. (Joann) Muyleart, Anna F. (Jessie) Vandergriff, and Kathleen R. (her late husband, James) Wylie; his grandchildren, Joseph (Kayleigh) Muyleart, Jr., Lindsey Muyleart, Ryan Oliver, Robby (Emily) Oliver, Chelsea Vandergriff, and Lexi Wylie; 5 great grandchildren; his sisters, Kathleen J. Eade, and Diane G. Muyleart; and his brother, Joseph W. Muyleart.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd, Fairview Heights, IL.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL. Interment will be in College Hill Cemetery, Lebanon, IL.
