LaRue Edgar “Ed” McClure, age 80, of Fairview Heights, IL, born on July 22, 1943, in Flint, MI, died on Sunday, July 30, 2023, at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, O’Fallon, IL.

Ed was a lifelong owner and operator of Mac’s Lawn Service in Fairview Heights, IL.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia D. McClure, who died on November 22, 2020; his granddaughter, Shannon Allen; his parents, Parker and Florine, nee Keys McClure; and his siblings, Betty McClure and Vardel McClure.

Ed is survived by his children, Tammy Allen of Fairview Heights, IL, Denise McClure Wheeler of Fort Myers, FL, Todd McClure of Fairview Heights, IL, Clint McClure of Fairview Heights, IL, Chad (Krystal) McClure of Belleville, IL, Kelly (Brad) Moose of Belleville, IL, Jeff McClure of Fairview Heights, IL, and Mandy McClure of Belleville, IL; 25 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.

Per Ed’s wishes, no services will be held.
