Keagan William Rex, age 17, of Fairview Heights IL, died at St Louis Children’s Hospital on December 16, 2025 surrounded by loved ones.
Keagan was an exceptional son, brother, friend and Student at Belleville East High School.
He had a heart of gold; his presence was gentle, peaceful, and kind. Keagan would do anything for his mom and sister, including posing for endless pictures and attending all his sister’s events without complaint. His friends and family meant the world to him. He loved his family’s annual vacations, exploring new places, being outdoors, and enthusiastically joining in on all the wacky plans his mom could dream up. Keagan never met a lazy river, pool, or body of water he didn’t enjoy.
Keagan was an avid gamer and technology enthusiast. His time spent on his gaming system wasn’t just about playing, it was a way for him to connect, to problem-solve, and to share laughter and memories with friends, reflecting the same curiosity and joy that defined every part of his life
Keagan is survived by his mother, Amy Morris and his sister, Brielle Howard of Fairview Heights, IL. He is also survived by his great grandparents, Bill & Patty Shelton; his grandfather, William Morris; his grandmother, Kathleen Fulton; an uncle, William Morris Jr; his aunt, Maria Satulla, and his cousins, Mariah Idrees, and Blake and Dalton Westcott.

Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary., Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.
