Kathleen A. Martin

Kathleen A. Martin, 79, of Waterloo, IL passed away peacefully in her home with family by her side on Saturday, March 7, 2026.

Kathleen was born in East St. Louis, IL in 1946 to Francis and Casimira (nee Ziaja) Armstrong. She attended St. Phillip’s Grade School and Belleville High School. Throughout her career, Kathy worked as a bookkeeper and in customer service where she was known for her dedication and warm personality. She was a faithful member of Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Casimira (Cassie) Armstrong.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving spouse of 36 years, Woodford (Woody) V. Martin; daughter, Dawn Reinacher of Waterloo (friend, Keith); son, Chris Reinacher (Brooke Hefner) of Waterloo; stepdaughter, Kristine Lowe (Gene) of Carlyle; and stepson, Matt Martin (friend, Kelly) of Fort Worth.

She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren: Connor Reinacher (Kailee), Dawson Reinacher, Haven Reinacher, Grant Koerber, Garet Koerber, Justin Lowe, Aaron Lowe (Amber), Cody Lowe, Colby Lowe (fiancé, Jessi Darnell), Michael Martin, and Julie Martin; and great-grandchildren, Harper Reinacher, and Delaney and Fisher Lowe.

Kathy will also be deeply missed by a very special Aunt Betty and cousin Lynn, as well as many close friends whom she held dearly in her heart.

Kathy will be remembered for her kindness, devotion to family, and the love she shared with those around her.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church, 612 N. State Street, Freeburg, IL 62243.
