Kathleen Ann Murphy

Kathleen Ann Murphy, nee Martz, age 69, of Fairview Heights, IL, born on November 15, 1951 in East St. Louis, IL, died on August 27, 2021 at her home with her family at her side.

Kathleen worked in the financial service industry for 15 years as a senior analyst for Wells Fargo Advisors. For the past ten years, Kathleen has worked as an office volunteer for Hospice of Southern Illinois in Belleville, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mary Kay, nee Roarty, Martz.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Murphy; her brothers, Michael (Carole) Martz of Mount Prospect, IL, Brian (Carol) Martz of O’Fallon, IL and Marty (Patty) Martz of Caseyville, IL; six nieces and nephews, Caroline (Jason) Lee of St. Louis, MO, Brigid (George) Smith of Mount Prospect, IL, Adam Martz (Alison Bozarth) of St. Louis, MO, Erin Martz (Jake Wetterlin), of O’Fallon, IL, Katie Jo Martz of Caseyville, IL, and Elena Martz of Caseyville, IL; 4 great nieces and nephews, Carson Lee, Darren Lee, Ames Smith, and Shay Smith; and her buddy, Rocky the Wonder Dog.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to Hospice of Southern Illinois.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Ss Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Collinsville, IL. 

(Masks are required inside Church.)

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Collinsville, IL, with Father John Beveridge officiating.

Following mass, a private family interment will be held at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
