Judy "Chita" Chavez

Judy “Chita” Chavez, age 34, of Madison, IL, born on May 21, 1991, in Granite City, IL, passed away on May 1, 2026, at her residence in Madison, IL.

Chita was always a hard worker and very proud of her accomplishments. She would call everybody to tell them what she had just done or was getting ready to do. Most recently, she was very proud to have finished school and getting ready to start her new job as a nurse in the radiology department. She had a love and talent for art, drawing, makeup, decorating and cooking and would competitively try and out cook her family. Above all, her kids were everything and she would do anything to make sure they always had everything they needed.

She is survived by her children, Aubree, Sofia, Tray, and Tatum; her mother, Tina Chavez; siblings, Anthony Chavez and Bonnii Chavez; grandparents, Judy and Jose Chavez; God parents, Suzanne and Chuberto; and many other loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. Kassly Mortuary Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.  Interment will be in Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
