Judith E. Hensley, nee Lynch, age 84, of Fairview Heights, IL, born on June 8, 1939, in East St. Louis, IL, died on Friday, November 3, 2023, at her residence.

Judith worked at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in the medical record department and worked at Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints as a custodian.  She loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and dogs deeply.  Judith missed her loving husband of 63 years, Virgil.  She played golf in her younger years and was a prankster when she talked on the phone.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil D. Hensley, Jr.; her parents, John  Greenville and Ida Opal, nee Donaldson Lynch, Sr.; a great grandson, Tatem Cross; her siblings, John Lynch, Jr., Phoebe Lynch, Kenny Lynch, and Sandra Hicks, Jerry Lynch; and her mother and father-in-law, Virgil and Mildred Hensley, Sr.  

Judith is survived by her children, Debbie (Greg) Hausmann of Hermann, MO, Sherry Jouett of Albers, IL, and Sandra Jackson of Fairview Heights, IL; her grandchildren, Eric Jouett, Greg Hausmann, Stephen Hausmann, William Hausmann, Theresa Jouett, Katelyn (Mike) Tretter, Shelby Winkelmann, Caleb Winkelmann, and Abigail MacBush; her great grandchildren, Rayn, Jackson, Natalie, Neal, Oriana, Jaslyn, Izzy, Karaline, Averi, Roselyn, James, Jayson, Ryker, Savannah, Jaxton, Baleigh and Greyson; her siblings, Tom (Monica) Lynch, Pat Malone, Rick (Cindi) Lynch, Randy Lynch, and Lana (Richard) Musil; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 6, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.  

Visitation will also be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Fairview Heights, IL.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at 8:30 a.m. at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Fairview Heights, IL. Interment will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
