John Vito Tassallo

John Vito Tassallo, age 66, of Swansea, IL, born on June 19, 1954 in East St. Louis, IL, died on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at his residence.

John was a retired United States Air Force Veteran after 16 years of service.  He later worked as a letter carrier with the United States Postal Service for 10 years. He was a member of the Ping Pong Neighborhood Alumni Association.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Vito Tassallo, Sr.; and his brothers, Gerard Tassallo and Keith Tassallo.

He is survived by his children, Stacy Tassallo of Swansea, IL, Christopher (Christy) Tassallo of Tampa, FL, and Sean Snyder of Colorado Springs, CO; his grandchildren, Brittany Meadows, Carly Tassallo, Aiden Hughen and Jacob Tassallo; his mother, Theresa Tassallo, nee Grill of Swansea, IL; and his siblings, Stephen (Pauline) Tassallo of Fairview Heights, IL, and Theresa (Gari) Hanalei of Greenville, IL.

Memorials may be made to Paralyzed Veterans of America.

A private visitation will be held at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.

A private funeral service will be held at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL with a burial of his cremated remains, with honors, will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
