John N. Crocken, age 81, of O’Fallon, MO, formerly of East St. Louis, IL, born on January 10, 1944, in East St. Louis, IL, died on Monday, March 3, 2025, at St. Joseph’s West in Lake St. Louis, MO, surrounded by his family.
John graduated from Assumption High School and was a graduate of SIU-Carbondale as a Certified Dental Lab Technician. He was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians and had a love for music, dancing, billiards, diving, swimming, Cardinal baseball and Rams football. John was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Irma, nee Marvel Crocken, Sr.; his brother, Edward “Ned” Crocken, Jr; and his brothers-in-law, Gary O’Connor and Leonard Eichacker.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Crocken, nee Eichacker; his daughters, Jessica (Greg) Cenatiempo and Janelle (Sean) Procasky; his 5 grandchildren, Ashley, Jackson, Emma, Vivienne and Aria; his sister, Amy O’Connor; his nieces and nephews, Kelly (Walter), Kim (Dan), Marshall (Beth), Tom (Conni), Christy (Mark); Geno (Ami), Meghan (Brandon), Jonathan, Channa (Bill), Erin (Jason), and Lora (Demetrius); and many great nieces and nephews. John is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, Patti, Jane, Ronald, James, Thomas, David and Anthony.

Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Peace Chapel, Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Peace Chapel, Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Belleville, IL., with Fr. Clyde Grogan officiating. Burial will take place at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
