Jill M. Husted

Jill M. Husted, age 42, of Troy, IL, born on February 2, 1979 in Maryville, IL, died on Sunday, February 14, 2021, at home surrounded by her family.

Jill was an assembler with Community Link, Inc., in Breese, IL.  She was a Special Olympics athlete and medaled in swimming, gymnastics and the 50-yard dash.  She loved singing, dancing, swimming, and boating.  Jill gave the biggest hugs and touched the lives of all she met.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Glenn and Mildred Kohler; her paternal grandmother, Waunita Husted; two uncles, Glenn “Dutch” Kohler, Jr., and John Husted; and her aunt, Sarah Fowler.

Jill is survived by her parents, Robert and Beverly, nee Kohler Husted; her twin sister, Heather (Chris) Markovic of Troy, IL, and her brothers, Logan Husted of Troy, IL, Alex Husted of Troy, IL, and Jakob Husted of Troy, IL; her nephew Connor Markovic; her niece, Payton Markovic; and her aunts and uncles, Charlie (Sharon) Kohler, Ron Kohler, Sue Silva, Donna (Terry) Emerson and Becky (Rick) Witt.  She is also survived by many loving cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Community Link, Inc. in Breese, IL or to the Special Olympics, Region 2 Team.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2021 from 12:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.

A Celebration of Jill’s life will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL with Pastor Jeff Chamberlain officiating.  Cremation will follow services.
