Jerry M. "Jay" Ervin, II

Jerry M. “Jay” Ervin, II, age 41, of Fairview Heights, IL, born on April 5, 1982, in Tacoma, WA, died on Sunday, April 16, 2023, surrounded by his family.

Jay grew up in a military family and had the opportunity to live all over the world where he experienced a multitude of adventures. He loved his kids, his family, and would help anyone with anything. Jay enjoyed hiking and building various things from scratch. He loved all things Metallica and Nightmare Before Christmas.

He was preceded  in death by his parents, Jerry and Sherry, nee Shields, Ervin, Sr.

Jay is survived by his two sons, Colin Ervin, and Dustin Johnson; the mother of his children, Adrienne Johnston; his siblings, Wendy Ervin (Matt Barnes) of Rio Rancho, NW, Holly Ervin of Fairview Heights, IL, and Courtney (Henry) Laytham of Fairview Heights, IL; and his nieces and nephews, Brandon, Lauren, Hayley, Sammy, Jayson, Kierstyn, and Aiden.
