Jerald L. “Jerry” Vickery, Jr., age 65, of Imperial MO, born on April 25, 1958, in East St. Louis, IL, died on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO.
Jerry was a former curator for the St. Louis Cardinal Hall of Fame and the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame, an author and historian, and did design work for several universities.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Suzann L. Weihl, nee Huffhine; his father, Jerald L. Vickery, Sr., his father-in-law, Paul Joseph Quirk; and his brother-in-law, Michael P. Quirk.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Patricia M. “Patti” Vickery, nee Quirk; his son, Jerry P. (Lindsey) Vickery; his grandchildren, Clayton Jerald Vickery and Chloe Rae Vickery; his siblings, Vicki (Wayne) Phelps, Della (Tim) Blackmon, and Martha (Scott) Blankenship; his mother-in-law, Frances Ann Quirk; his nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Princess.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society-Pancreatic or to the University of Michigan, Department of Neurology for CADASIL Research.
Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL. Everyone is encouraged to wear their St. Louis Cardinal attire.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at 1:30 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL., with Fr. Kenneth York officiating.
