Jean Ann Zollner

Jean Ann Zollner, nee Wegrzyn, age 96, of Swansea, IL, born on November 16, 1928, in East St. Louis, IL, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, June 29, 2025.

Jean was a Registered Nurse. She was very proud of her Polish heritage, a devout member of the Philadelphia Church of God, and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  Jean will be sadly missed by family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James P. Zollner; her parents, Jan and Agatha, nee Koniczna Wegrzyn; her siblings, Bronislaw Wegrzyn, Stephanie Metzger, Joseph Wegrzyn, Anna Polito and Steve Wegrzyn; her daughter-in-law, Patti Zollner, nee Kettler; and her son-in-law, William Rhein.

Jean is survived by her children, Bartholomew Zollner, Matthew (Diana) Zollner, Stephanie Rhein, Paula (Kip) Liggett, Mark (Catherine) Zollner, and Zachary (Cindy) Zollner; 17 grandchildren, and 30 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL., with Pastor Mr. Eric Burns officiating.  Interment will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
