Janet C. Rolek

Janet C. Rolek, age 74, of Fairview Heights IL, born on November 30, 1950, in East St. Louis, IL, passed away on June 1, 2024.

Janet was a loving sister, aunt and friend to all. To know her was to love her. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and attending as many community events as she could. Janet’s boisterous personality and big heart kindled friendships wherever she went. She never met a stranger and always went out of the way to connect with everyone and make them feel special. Janet will always be remembered for her kindness, generosity and fierce loyalty to the people she loved. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Julia, nee Freshman Rolek; brother, Dennis Rolek; sister-in-law, Julie Rolek; and a nephew, Chuck Rolek.

Janet is survived by her brother, Charles “Chuck” (Peggy Hall) Rolek; sister-in-law, Debbie Rolek; nieces and nephews, Kristofer (Jacqueline Ruiz) Rolek, Lauren Rolek, Jacqueline Rolek, Brian Rolek, Alex (Erin) Rolek, Rachel Gorman, David (Kelsey) Rolek, Eric Rolek; and great nieces and nephews, Aaliyah Anderson, Julian and Killian Rolek, Adeline Rolek, Silas and Vero Rolek, and Shane and Connor Gorman.

Memorials may be made to Caseyville Township Center or to the Polish American War Veterans.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 7, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Kassly Mortuary Chapel, Fairview Heights, IL, with Fr. James Nall officiating.  Interment will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
