James E. Quinn, age 91, of Caseyville, IL, born on May 21, 1932, in St. Louis, MO, died on Monday, February 12, 2024, at his residence.
James was a United States Marine Veteran, the owner/operator of East Side Tool and Die, past President of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, active member of the Optimist Club and active parishioner of St. Philips and St. Stephens.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Julie Ann Quinn; and his parents, Francis Quinn, and Loretta (Bernard) Fleiter Borgman; his brother, Jerry Borgman; and his brothers-in-law, Gean Griffin and John Petschonek.
James is survived by his wife, Joan E. Quinn, nee Talbot; his children, Christie (Ken) Coonley of Collinsville, IL, James Mark (Robin) Quinn of Collinsville, IL, Linda (Dan) Meirink of Belleville, IL, Tony (Anne) Quinn of Belleville, IL, and Cathy (David) Dye of St. Louis, MO; his grandchildren, Sarah (Brandon) Goode, Casey Coonley, Julianne Coonley, Jamie (Caleb) Klinger, Maribeth (Kyle) Bendick, Melissa (Jacob) Gehrs, Meaghan Brewer, Anthony (Aaren) Quinn, Trisha (Devan) Cobb, Dustin Dye, Caroline Dye, and Reis Dye; 15 great grandchildren; his siblings, MaryAnn Griffin, Ron Borgman, and Pat Petschonek; his sister-in-law, Nancy Borgman; and his special friend of the family/nurse, Kathy Baker Klebert.
Memorials may be made to the Mount Grace Convent of the Holy Spirit Adoration Sisters or to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Stephen Catholic Church, Caseyville, IL.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024, 11:00 a.m. at St. Stephen Catholic Church, Caseyville, IL.
