Helen Virginia Miller

Helen V. “Virginia” Miller, age 86, of Fairview Heights, IL, born on May 3, 1937, in Gays, IL, died on Thursday, August 17, 2023, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, O’Fallon, IL.

Virginia was an accountant with Western Auto in O’Fallon, IL, for over 30 years.  She loved all types of fishing, freshwater and saltwater.  She also enjoyed gardening, visiting the beach and the St. Louis Cardinals. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene L. “Mike” Miller; her parents, Theodore R. and Martha J. nee Dewars Hughes; and her siblings, Gene Hughes, Katherine Ristings, Betty Rule, Ralph Hughes, Robert Hughes, and Dean Hughes.

Virginia is survived by her children, Pamela Miller, Mielina (Bill) Hill, and Kathy Miller; her grandchildren, Christina Pate, Zack Campbell, and Gracie Miller; her great grandchildren, Reese Pate, Elliott Pate, Ainslee Jane Campbell, Amelia Jade Campbell, and Ryker Michael Wagner; and her brother, Steve Hughes.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.   

Memorial Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 20, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.
