Greg A. Durbin, age 63, of Coulterville, IL formerly of Fayetteville, IL, born on February 8, 1958, in East St. Louis, IL, died on Saturday, August 21, 2021, peacefully at home.
Greg was a United States Marine Corps Veteran, a master technician for Reiss Ford in Mascoutah, IL and then Firestone Complete Automotive in Columbia, IL. He graduated from Bailey Technical School in automotive diesel technology and received several Certificates of Achievement from Ford Motor Company. He loved hunting, especially quail, skeet shooting, fishing and he was a great teacher in all of these, even when you didn’t want the advice. Greg could cheer anybody up with his corny jokes. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond E. and Ann. G, nee Soden, Durbin.
Greg is survived by his wife, Eugenia “Genie” Durbin, nee Valentine; his son, Darren (Amanda) Durbin of Summerfield, IL; his grandchildren, Leah, Hannah, Dylan, Dominic, and Austin Durbin; his brother, Ray B. (Dawn) Durbin of Elephant Rock, MO, and Cheryl A. Durbin Whitney, of Avondale, AZ. He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, especially, Raymond Durbin, Jr., Brian Durbin, Mark Whitney, Andrew Whitney, and Brenna Whitney.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 27, 2021, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, IL.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL with Charlie McGee officiating. Cremation will follow.
