Gabriela Madej Obituary

Gabriela “Gabie” Madej, age 31, of Des Peres, MO, born on November 2, 1994 in St. Louis, MO, passed away on April 8, 2026.

The beautiful daughter of Andy and Iwona Madej and cherished older sister of Alexander Madej, Gabie was a graduate of Kirkwood High School and attended Southeast Missouri State University, majoring in education. Gabie had a bright and charming personality that drew people to her. She loved people and had the special “gab” to talk with anyone, making friends easily wherever she went. She worked as a server at Billie G’s, where her warm smile and friendly nature made every customer feel welcome.

Gabie had a deep love for animals, especially German Shepards, including her dog, Delta. She found great joy in the company of animals. One of Gabie’s greatest passions was food. She was able to create amazing dishes with just a few simple ingredients. She dreamed of owning her own food truck, where she could share her love of cooking and bringing people together through delicious Polish fusion dishes. She also enjoyed going to music festivals, sharing these special times with her fiancé, Jake. One of the most beautiful parts of her life was the genuine love she had for his daughter, Nova, who brought so much joy to her life.

Gabie was preceded in death by her father, Andy Madej; and her grandparents, Janina, nee Napieracz, and Stanislaw “Stanley” Madej.

She is survived by her mother, Iwona Madej of Des Peres, MO; her brother, Alexander Madej (Vincenza Pierce) of St. Louis, MO; her fiancé, Jacob Cave of Springfield, MO; her aunts and uncles, Derrick (Dorothy) Madej, Beata Wojcik, and Arek (Magda) Gorka; and her grandparents, Maria and Aleksander Gorka. Gabie is also survived by her loving cousins, Sara (Evan) Scales, Kathryn Madej, John Madej, Viktoria Wojcik, Sebastian Wojcik, Max Skarzynsky, Logan Skarzynsky, Kamil Zarzycki, and Kevin Zarzycki.

Memorials in Gabie’s honor may be made to Serendipity German Sheperd Dog Rescue, Chesterfield, MO at serendipitygsd.org/help/contribute.
