Fred G. Trebilcock

Fred G. Trebilcock, age 83, of Caseyville, IL, born on July 23, 1941, in St. Louis, MO., died on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, O’Fallon, IL.

Fred was a United States Navy Veteran from 1959 to 1963, was stationed in Norfolk, VA on the USS Alstede AF48 and was discharged honorably. He was an auto mechanic for over 40 years and enjoyed his Model A car.  Fred was the past Assistant Fire Chief for the Hollywood Heights Volunteer Fire Department.  Fred's wife, his 8 children and many grandchildren were the joy of his life.

Fred is preceded in death by his parents, Frederick J. and Delores, nee Mitulski Trebilcock; his sisters, Doris (Kenneth) Weissert and Joyce Trebilcock; and his sons-in-law, Terry Doyle and Tod Valenti.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Mary Ellen, nee Weissert; his children, Mary Valenti, Denise (Mark) Hamilton, Jackie (Jim) Krummrich, Vickie (Mark) Parker, Shelly (Brad) Ettling, Fred E. (Mandy) Trebilcock, Sandy Lively, and Stacy (Roy) Tucker; his grandchildren, Michael (Samantha) Trebilcock, Paul Valenti, Nick (Jen) Hamilton, Mark (Kurt) Hamilton, Nicole (Trevor) Mize, Parker (Heather) Hamilton, Danny Krummrich, Aaron (Alison) Krummrich, Jordan Krummrich, Lilli Roberson, Andrew Crader, Molly Crader, Zach (Hanna) Ettling, Clayton Ettling, Jake Trebilcock, Riley (Tyler) Monroe, Dylan (Raven) Trebilcock, Ellie Lively, Ashley (Colby) Simpson, and Chandler Bottoms; and 19 great grandchildren. 

His family gives special thanks to the nurses of St. Elizabeth’s Hospital for their professional and loving care given to Fred.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.

A funeral procession will leave at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, April 4, 2025, for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Fairview Heights, IL. Interment will be held in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
