Frank J. Johnston, age 71, of Livingston, IL, born on February 21, 1952 in East St. Louis, IL, died on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at his residence.
Frank was a United States Navy Vietnam veteran and held an associate degree from the Cleveland Institute in electronic technology and advanced trouble shooting. He worked as a courier for Flanagan and White Courier Service, St. Louis, MO, and was a member of United Steelworkers. Frank enjoyed woodworking and electronics.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Barney and Helen, nee Grzyb, Johnston.
Frank is survived by his wife, Karen, nee Kunkel, Johnston; his children, Sarah Croy, of Livingston, IL, and Michael Williams of Sorento, IL; his grandchildren, Tristan Croy and Madison Coulter; a brother, Edward “Butch” Johnston of Shiloh, IL, a sister, Rose Sifuentes of Pierron, IL; and his granddog, Blackie.
Graveside services with full military honors will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO on a date to be determined.
