Evelyn M. Leach

Evelyn M. Leach, age 95, of Florissant, MO, formerly of O’Fallon, IL, born on November 9, 1928, in St. Charles, MO, died on July 21, 2024, at home with her loving family by her side.

Evelyn was an Army Veteran and member of the Women’s Army Corps.  She was a waitress for 35 years at The Missouri Athletic Club in St. Louis, MO, and a member of Life Church in Swansea, IL.  She was the kindest and gentlest mother and mother-in-law anyone could ask for.

She was preceded in death by her ex-husband and friend, Kenneth R. Leach; her daughter Evelyn Tauchert; her parents, Henry and Reatheal Asa McCoy; and 7 brothers and sisters.

Evelyn is survived by her children, Kenneth (Rhonda) Leach of Aviston, IL and Kristi (Jay) Draper of Florissant, MO; her grandchildren, Kimberly (Jason) Wuebbels of Beckemeyer, IL, Kenny (Danielle) Leach of Aviston, IL, and Brandon (Michelle) Hall of St. Ann, MO; and her great-grandchildren, Riley Wuebbels, Kali-Rae Wuebbels, Connor Wuebbels, Wyatt Leach, Audrey Leach, Emmett Leach, Matthew Hall, and Benjamin Hall.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 29, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 29, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Mike Fowler officiating.  Burial will follow in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
