Estella Mae Patterson

We regret to inform you of the passing of Estella M. Patterson, a dedicated Jehovah Witnesses and LVN licensed vocational nurse at St. Mary's Hospital in East St. Louis, IL.

She passed away peacefully at her residence in Swansea, IL, on July 28, 2024, at the age of 95. Estella was born on April 7, 1929, in Kosciusko, MS.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jake Patterson; her sons, Rodney Patterson, Micah Patterson, and Joseph Patterson; her parents, Joseph Allen and Charlie Mable, nee Fullilove Hannah; and her sisters, Mary Louis Pollard, Ola Mae Williams, and Leoda Winters.

Estella, affectionately known as " Wella Wella," is survived by her daughter, Kathryn Hollingsworth. Her grandchildren, Kesha Alston, April Patterson, Rodney Patterson, Jr., Kela (Tyrone) Robinson, Kandis (Terrell) Harris, Kyle (Evon) Hollingsworth, Micah (Stephanie) Patterson, Myla (Anthony) Goodwin, Martea Patterson, her great grandchildren, Krystal, Kadyn, Kalix (Princess), Kye, Kennis (Juicy), Kyle Jr., Kanon, Kyon; her great- great granddaughter, Ka'lis (Twin), extended relatives Twana Brooks and family, and wonderful friends Earl and Carol Smith.

Estella also leaves behind a host of loving nieces, nephews, family, and friends. She will be deeply missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, 6400 St. Clair Ave., East St. Louis, IL on August 10, 2024 at 11:30 a.m.
