Emily J. Wojcik

Emily J. Wojcik, nee Nota, age 97, of Fairview Heights, IL, born on April 17, 1924, in East St. Louis, IL, died on Sunday, October 10, 2021, at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, IL.

Emily was a graduate of St. Teresa Academy and worked as a teletype operator at Swift and Co. Parking House.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sylvester J. Wojcik; her infant son, Gary Wojcik; her parents, Emery and Mary nee Vano, Nota; her sister, Irene (Raymond) Dittman; her brother, Emery Nota, Jr; her sisters-in-law, Lillian Wojcik and Marie (Leonard) Wauchel; and her brothers-in-law, Stanley (Ann) Wojcik, Frank (Mary) Wojcik, Joseph Wojcik.

She is survived by her nieces, Constance (Richard) Miller - O’Brien, Cathy (Greg) Rybak, Caren (Ron) Fansler, Linda (Duane) Eubinger; her nephew, Ronnie (Carol) Nota; and her brother-in-law, John Wojcik. Emily is also survived by many great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces, and great-great nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, IL.

A funeral procession will leave Kassly Mortuary, Ltd, Fairview Heights, IL, at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, October 16, 2021, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. at St. Stephen Catholic Church, Caseyville, IL.  Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
