Edward M. Hart

Edward Maurice Hart, age 78, of Fairview Heights, IL, born on November 26, 1942, in Detroit, MI., died Sunday, May 23, 2021, at Saint Elizabeth's Hospital, Belleville, IL.

He was a master electrician and a successful businessman having created several local businesses including an auto body shop, Solar Energy Controllers and Hart Electric. Ed enjoyed restoring old cars in his off time and was a top ranked pool player in the American Pool Assoc. Ed loved fishing, camping, boating, and anything outdoors, and was a second generation Ainad Shriner.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Franklin Maurice, and Eva Lucille, nee Johnson Hart.

He is survived by his children, Terri L. (Larry) Stephenson of Bastrop, TX,  Edward Maurice Hart, II of Austin, TX, and Edward Michael Hart of Fairview Heights, IL; three grandchildren, Dustin Stephenson of Huntsville, TX,  Jessica (Nicholas) Huckaby of Bryan, TX, Dallas Hart of Nashville, TN, and Michael C. Hart of Fairview Heights, IL.; and one great-grandchild, Lillianna Huckaby.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.

Interment with Military Honors will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO., on Thursday, June 3, 2021, at 9:30 a.m.
