Donna M. Frey

Donna M. Frey, nee Wodochek, age 85, of Fairview Heights, IL, born on December 10, 1935 in East St. Louis, IL, died on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, O’Fallon, IL.

Donna was a homemaker.  She was a member and volunteered at St. Albert the Great Church, now Holy Trinity Catholic Church, was active in the prayer chain, and was a heavenly duster.  Donna enjoyed crocheting, shopping, going to lunch with her friends, and attending her kids sporting events.  She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Darold Frey; her son, David Frey; her parents, Frank and Mattie, nee Trolard Wodochek; her siblings, Elizabeth (Lowell) Iler, Pauline (Sam) Giamanco, Doris (Edmond) Bennett and Bob (Marcella) Wodochek; and her brother-in-law, Pete Keck.

Donna is survived by her children, Diane (Garland) Zimmerman of Edwardsville, IL, Dawn (Edwin) Albers of St. Louis, MO, and Dennis Frey (Jessica O’Connell) of Belleville, IL; her daughter-in-law, Shawnda Frey of Summerfield, IL; her grandchildren, Andrew Michael Albers, Marissa Anne Albers, Sarah Elizabeth Zimmerman, and Jeramie (Elizabeth) Williams; her great-grandson, Ronan Williams; her sister, Clarita Keck of Collinsville, IL; and her sister-in-law, Frances Frey Wilkinson of FL. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to American Heart Association.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Fairview Heights, IL with Fr. James Nall officiating.  Interment will be held in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
