Dianne M. Clarke

Dianne M. Clarke, nee Majka, age 81 of Belleville, IL, was born at St. Mary’s in East St. Louis, IL. on June 23, 1943.  She passed away at her home surrounded by family on Friday, September 27, 2024.

Dianne grew up in East St. Louis, IL and attended Immaculate Conception Grade School and graduated from St. Teresa Academy in 1961.  She enjoyed gardening and painting.  She also loved decorating her home and helping others with their décor.  Dianne was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother. 

Dianne is preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Bernice, nee Kantosky Majka.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Clarke; a daughter, Gayle Leveling and partner, Kurt Tegtmeier, Jr; a brother Ronald (Shirley) Majka; a grand-daughter, Hannah Leveling (Michael Hess); and her brother-in-law, George (Kathleen) Clarke.  Dianne is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.  She will truly be missed by all of her extended family and friends.

The family would like to thank Siteman Cancer Center and Southern Illinois Hospice for all they have done for Dianne.

Per her wishes, cremation will be accorded and the services for Dianne will be as follows:

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 4, 2024, at St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church, 1411 Cross Street, O’Fallon, IL.

A Memorial Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church.

Interment will be on a later date at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.
