Dennis R. Tracy

Dennis R. Tracy, age 69, of Carlye, IL, born on April 29, 1954, in East St. Louis, IL, died on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at St. John’s Hospital, Springfield, IL.

Dennis was an iron worker and a member of the Iron Workers Union.  He loved to hunt, especially for deer, fishing, and all outdoor activities.  Dennis enjoyed going on Indian rendezvous with his brother, making knives, and wearing his animal hides.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Natalie Tracy; his grandson, Aries Young; and his parents, Velma, nee Buskirk and Clarence Tracy.

Dennis is survived by his daughter, Melanie Tracy; his grandchildren, Keri Tracy, Damian Tracy, Jamie Woods, Storm Young, Demetrius Young, Jerrica Pickens, and Janiyah Pickens; and his siblings, William Tracy and Tabatha Haas, and Woody Tracy. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 29, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.

No services will be held.
