Delores G. (Brooks) Butler

Delores G. Butler, nee Brooks, age 97, of Cahokia Heights, IL, born on December 20, 1928, in St. Louis, MO, died on Sunday, August 9, 2026, surrounded by her family.

Delores worked for twenty years in the auxiliary at Touchette Hospital. She loved going to the Fox Theater and was a season ticket holder. Delores was a loving mother, and a great friend to all that knew her. She was always there for her children and retired from working to care for them.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald M. Butler; her daughter, Deborah Butler; her parents, John and Norma, nee Pace Brooks; her grandmother who took over as her mother, Charlotte Elvira; and her sister, Daphine Light.

Delores is survived by her daughters, Donna Butler and Diana Butler; her unofficial grandson, Donald Hollis and his children, Layton and Evan Hollis; and her loving nephew, Danny Light.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 24, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 24, 2026, 11:00 a.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL, with Pastor Doug Nicely officiating.

Interment will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
