Delbert F. “Del” Holifield, age 79, of O’Fallon, IL, born on August 24, 1946, in East St. Louis, IL, died on Monday, July 6, 2026, at his residence with his family by his side.

Del retired after 45 years with Terminal Railroad.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and billiards.  Del was a loving husband, dad and grandpa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Delbert Holifield and Marcella Bojarski, nee Bauchens; and his sisters, Sharon Chance and Jannie King.

Del is survived by his loving wife, Linda Holifield, nee Singleton; his daughters, Diana Kuehn of Troy, IL, and Pamela (Bobby) Dockins of O’Fallon, IL; his grandchildren, Tessa Dockins, Adam Kuehn, Brandon Dockins and Amy Kuehn; his great grandson, Bennett Steinkruger; his brother-in-law, Ronnie Singleton of Fairview Heights, IL, his sister-in-law, Charlotte (John) Silvester of Scottsdale, AZ, and his nieces, nephews.

Private family services will be held.
