Debra S. Solomon

Debra Sue Solomon, age 68, of Granite City, IL, born on September 6, 1956, in East St. Louis, IL, died on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, IL.

Debra was a former housekeeper and also worked in the dietary kitchen at a nursing home.  She loved to drive and listen to Elvis.  Debra loved spending time with family, especially her niece, Donna, her sister, Lois, and her dear friends, Nick and Judy Snyder. 

She was preceded in death by her mother, Norma, nee Tucker Kite; her father, Homer Kite; her step-mother, Viola Kite; and her siblings, Jim Kite, Harold Kite, Homer Kite, Jr., Ronald Bates, Terry Bates, Lois Thomson, Roxie Doty, Rosemary Crossen, Jeanette Roberts, Wanda Kite, and Joyce Kite.

Debra is survived by her sons, Michael Brice, Daniel Brice, Adam Brice and Aaron Solomon; her stepchildren, Michael, Richard, Robert, Tanya, Crystal, Paul, Daniel and Jennifer; her grandchildren, Austin Padgett, Daniel Brice, Destiny Brice, Adam Brice, Leeland Vasques, Noah Brice and Amora Brice; her sister, Geraldine O’Brien; and her brothers, Robert Bates and John Kite.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, IL.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, IL.  Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Fairview Heights, IL.
