David R. Yow

David R. Yow, age 54, of Collinsville, IL, born on February 9, 1971, in East St. Louis, IL, died on Friday, September 5, 2025, at home surrounded by his loving family.

David previously worked at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Fairview Heights, IL as a custodian for 5 years.  He then worked at Wal-Mart in Collinsville, IL for 22 years, and lastly at Home Depot in Collinsville for 12 years.  David enjoyed being outside and loved home improvement projects. He loved cooking, making other people happy and had a big heart.  David never met a stranger and will be missed greatly by everyone who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Yow, nee Dawson who passed away on August 27, 2009, and his parents, Donald R. and Lorraine, nee Freiberg Yow.

David is survived by his stepchildren, Mike Williams, Jr., Samantha (Bryan) Trigg, and Elizabeth Williams; his grandchildren, Gage, Schoen, and Abel Trigg, Hailey Cochran, Austin Williams, and Gavin Williams; his great grandchildren, Kahari Neal and Lincoln Williams; his fiancé, Carol Van Loo; and his fur babies, Molly and Cody.  David is also survived by many wonderful friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, IL.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Carlos Brown officiating at Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, IL.
