Cheryl A. Johnson

Cheryl A. Johnson, age 59, of Fairview Heights, IL, born on September 5, 1962, in Belleville, IL, died on January 3, 2022, at her residence.

Cheryl loved knitting, reading, Elvis, Star Trek and all things Sci-Fi.  Her favorite pastime was spending time with family and being the “Sunshine” to her grandbabies.  Her kind heart, warm smile, and loving personality will be missed by all.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her husband, Neal P. Johnson; her mother, Barbara, nee Monti, Guest; her beloved, John Solis; and two brothers in infancy.

She is survived by her daughters, Angelina (Jason) M. Davis, of Belleville, IL, and Sabrina Lee Ann Johnson of Fairview Heights, IL; grandchildren, Logan Davis, Isabella Davis, Avalyn Collins, Amaiya Collins; her father, Patrick Guest of Washington Park, IL; her sisters, Colleen Guest, of Washington Park, IL and Christine (Eric Sr.) Stacy of Granite City, IL; nephews, Eric Stacy Jr., Ryan Stacy, and Evan Stacy.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 9, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, IL.  

Funeral procession will leave from Kassly Mortuary, on Monday, January 10, 2022,  at 9:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Fairview Heights, IL, with Fr. Jim Nall officiating.

Interment will be at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Fairview Heights, IL.
