Charlotte Pensoneau, age 85, of Fairview Heights, IL, born on December 5, 1937, in East St. Louis, IL, died on October 30, 2023, at Mercy Rehab & Care Center, Swansea, IL.
Charlotte began working in the proofreading/editing division of R.L. Polk & Co. Later she joined Boatmen’s National Bank, now Bank of America, as an Officer and Midwest Unit Supervisor of the Legal Support Group and retired after 39 years. Charlotte loved to travel and read mysteries. She was a devout Catholic, a life member of the Women of the Moose, Chapter #53, Belleville, IL, the St. Louis Zoo Parents Program and a Naturalist Member of the St. Louis Zoo Friend Program.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Alferetta nee Jarrell Pensoneau; and her brother in law, Robert Frisse, Sr.
Charlotte is survived by her sister, Gayle Frisse; two nephews, Robert (Carolyn) Frisse, Jr.; and David (Lisa) Frisse; her great-niece, Gwendolyn Frisse (Daniel Wiggins); and three great-nephews, Logan, Luke, and Cale Frisse. She is also survived by many cousins and friends.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, or in the form of masses.
Memorial Visitation will be Saturday, November 25, 2023, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Fairview Heights, IL.
Memorial Mass will follow at 11:00, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Fairview Heights, IL, with Fr. Jim Nall officiating. Burial of her cremated remains will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Fairview Heights, IL.
