Charles A. McClain

Charles Allen McClain, 67, of Caseyville, IL, born on January 6, 1958, in East St Louis, IL, passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, in O’Fallon, IL.

Charles made a career selling auto parts at Bo Beuckman Ford, in Ellisville, MO. In his spare time and after retirement, he was a self-proclaimed “Piddler”, always having small projects and building various things, always piddling around the house. Most importantly Charles was a family man. He loved spending time with his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. His favorite things were just simple family BBQs or going fishing with the kids.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Vicki McClain; mother, Ramona Struttmann; stepfather, Herman Oliver Lewis; brothers, Michael McClain and Richard McClain.

Charles is survived by his children, Melissa (Joe Burroughs) McClain, Paul McClain, Howard (Lauren) Wilson, Jennifer Wilson, and Rebecca (Scott Morrison) Wilson; his loving grandchildren, Michael Fain, Deven Fain, Mason McClain, Zoe Wilson, John Paul Webb, Hailey Dallas, Morgan Ludgate, Dakota Ludgate, Jamie Smith, Madison Julius, and Jacob Julius; loving great grandchildren; sister, Pamela Ridgway; and his brothers, Donald (Deb) McClain and Jeffery (Kimberly) McClain.

Per his wishes, Charles was cremated. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at the Caseyville Moose Lodge, 8550 Bunkum Rd., Caseyville, IL from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
